Video 1: Amy Winehouse ( In My Bed )

The costume doesn't link in with the genre and its because Amy doesn't change her costume as she is in the same dress throughout the whole video. Her costume links in with the lyrics because she is talking about a man coming into her bed and she is wearing  something that looked like lingerie. The costume only links in with the lyrics and location because the location is a hotel and its the great setting for the costume she is wearing. Also lyrics link in.

It contained 5 locations which were the stairs, lift, hotel lobby, hotel room and hotel dining room. This links in because throughout the video she is trying to seduce the guy in the video. In this genre they set video link because they tend to have less settings and locations to keep it simple. However in this video all the settings are very quiet and intimate the music video has mainly the artist and actor in this particular video.

Video 2: Sam Smith ( Lay me down )

In this video Sam Smith changes costume twice as in the first and second verse and the chorus he was in a black suit in the video and then towards the end of the bridge and into the second chorus he is changes into a simple white t shirt and jumper jacket. It links with the costume because the fact he singing about happiness, love and sadness. This does link in with the genre because the artist tend to change costume less and change according to emotions shown in the video.

There is one location and two types of settings because in the video there is a funeral and wedding but with two settings. In the first part of the video its the funeral which is mellow and sad. Where as in the wedding the setting changes to happiness and excitement. This setting is well known because some artist tend to use locations like this to really tell a story. It is sort of typical for this genre because the concept of love.






Video 3: Coldplay (Yellow)

In this video he never changes his costume and it doesn't link in with the song or lyrics. It doesn't link in with the use of costume at all as he never changes his costume. 

The use of location and setting kind of links in with costume because he on a gloomy quiet beach and in this type of genre they normally only have one location. in the location which is gloomy and wet is well known for certain indie bands and also with the one location.
